There's a certain kind of night that calls for a glass of something dark, warm and a little brooding by the fire. This is one of them.
We're bringing five of the cellar's most warming reds up to the fireplace this winter, travelling from the granite soils of Heathcote to the volcanic slopes of Sicily's Mount Etna.
The flight moves from soft and plummy through to something with real fire in the glass: a juicy Heathcote Primitivo, a cosy Yarra Valley GSM blend, an inky Spanish Tempranillo from Toro, a rose-and-tar Nebbiolo from Piedmont, and a volcanic red straight off Etna.
All 2018 to 2022 vintages, aged by time. All that's left to do is pull up a chair.
Five wines, one fire, and the best seat in Hampton for a cold night.
Whether you're easing in pre-dinner or rolling through after, we're taking bookings from 6PM to 8:30PM. Arrive whenever suits.
