Champagne Day: Veuve Fourny

Six Champagnes from one family, one clos, one Premier Cru, with oysters, canapés and French cheese to match.

Most Champagne on a shelf is blended from hundreds of parcels. This is the opposite: one village, nine hectares, five generations of the same family.

The Fournys work in Vertus, where Chardonnay grows on chalk. Hand-picked, first-press juice only, low dosage. Nowhere for a wine to hide.

Six wines, from their everyday bubbles up to single parcels made in tiny volumes. We'll cover what Premier Cru really means and why dosage matters more than most people realise.

Two sessions of two hours, 16 seats in each.
